Addendum No. 8 TECHNICAL DESIGN GUIDELINES 05/17/2023
The following changes are included in the ninth edition of the Technical Design Guideline:
DIVISION 1
1. Add “The Tarrant County College Technical Design Guidelines (TDGs) are intended as
a general guideline for design and services. This document is not intended to replace
the work and due diligence of the design professional and their best judgement, nor is it to
be taken verbatim as a contract specification. The goal is to ensure that all campuses are
provided with code compliant, functional, durable buildings and infrastructure, with
consistent materials, finishes and fixtures for efficient maintenance”
2. Section 1.01, replace entire section to reflect the College’s values and 3 goals / 8
principles
3. Section 1.02, remove May Owen/TCC Corporate Training/Criminal Justice
Training/Fire Training Center from the list of District Facilities.
4. Section 1.09, change item “A”, Variance Request Process” to item “D”. Change item
“B”, “Change Request Process” to item “E”.
5. Section 1.09, change item E, “Change Request Process” in its entirety as shown.
6. Section 1.12, add “drawings and specifications” after the word “construction in
the last sentence of the paragraph.
7. Section 1.10, D, 2, add new item “l” to read “Asset Onboarding document describing
all assets installed by the project. Document to be provided by TCCD”.

1. Section 1.07, remove item F in its entirety. Keep header and add item “1” to read “refer to
design professional’s specifications.”.
